4/8: Chose an "essay" (30 word paragraph) from the 2010 Proficiency Exam. The link to the 2010 Proficiency Exam is above; I also sent it to you on edmodo before Spring Break.

4/3: No HW due to Washington, D.C. trip!

3/21: Non-SP classes have a vacation packet. SP classes  must complete parts 3a, 3b and 4 of the 2010 Proficiency Exam that is posted online (part 1 is speaking and part 2a and 2b are listening, none of which can be done alone). 12/4: Practice your dialogues! You are ALL performing! Be sure to bring in any props or costumes you need to make your performance as amazing as possible! You should also be studying for the cumulative exam that is taking place next week (Wed. 12/12 and Friday 12/14).

12/3: Continue working on dialogues. If you are performing tomorrow (SP classes) you should be practicing. All other groups that still need approval from me need to finish writing their scripts and edit them before meeting with me tomorrow. TOMORROW IS THE LAST DAY TO MEET WITH  ME TO EDIT TOGETHER!!

11/30: Work on dialogue projects! Bring in PROOF of new writing and editing!

11/29: Work on your dialogue projects! Non-SP classes should add at least 10 lines to the dialogues you started over the Thanksgiving break. SP students should be combining and editing writing. If you are working with your partner/group, be sure to bring in PROOF (print out a screen shot, take a picture, etc.)!

11/28: Write your SMART goal for Marking Period 2. Use the template above as your guide (or print it out). This will be placed in your portfolio tomorrow! You can also add to your 10 line dialogue that you started over Thanksgiving  break; this way you are prepared for our Dialogue Project that we are starting in class tomorrow!

11/27: Write 5 sentences using all 5 possessive adjectives.

11/26: WB pg. 90

11/21: WB pgs. 88 and 89. Write at least 10 lines of dialogue to use for our 1st dialogue project. If possible, choose your dialogue project group and decide what you want your dialogue to be about. 9/24: Que te gusta hacer en tu tiempo libre? (What do you like to do in your free time?) Write 5 sentences in Spanish.

9/21: Hispanic Heritage projects due Monday, 9/24! You will be presenting your project to the class; you have to explain the most important facts about your person and their main contribution to our culture/history. Bring this information on an INDEX CARD to be handed in with your essay and art component. You must also hand in your organization sheets (Part 1 and 2) on Monday with your project.

9/20: Complete and bring in both Hispanic Heritage Project Organizer Sheets. This will show me that you are basically finished writing your project! Remember, the project is due Monday, 9/24!

9/19: Bring in your final draft of your 1st paragraph of your Hispanic Heritage project - this will be hung up on the bulletin board! Also finish the HH OrganizerSheet (Part 1) and continue researching/working on your project. 

9/14: Work on your Hispanic Heritage month biography projects which are due Monday, September 24th. Start researching the person you chose (minimum of 2 sources!) and make sure you have a draft  of at least your first paragraph to share and workshop on Wednesday.

9/13: What is Hispanic Heritage month? Why do we celebrate it? Bring in 3 people who you would like to study for your HH month project.

9/12: What lesson did you learn today discussing 9/11? Look up the Brooke Jackman Foundation (www.brookejackmanfoundation.org). Print out SMART goal template (in Classwork section) for class tomorrow if possible.

9/11: What does September 11th mean to you?

9/10: What was your favorite part about last year in Spanish class? What would you change about last year's Spanish class? Write at least 1 paragraph in English.

9/6: What is difficult for you in Spanish? What is easy for you? Write at last 1 paragraph in English.
